Quintet Wiki

Tomoyoshi Miyazaki (宮崎友好) is a Japanese video game developer and a founder of Quintet (along with Masaya Hashimoto). He originally worked for Nihon Falcom, where he helped create the Ys series.

Biography[]

Tomoyoshi Miyazaki got his first job in video game development when he joined Nihon Falcom in 1986. Masaya Hashimoto, a Nihon Falcom programmer and game designer, asked Miyazaki to direct the scenario of Ys I, and eventually Ys II and III. In 1989, approximately three months before the release of Ys III, Hashimoto and Miyazaki left Nihon Falcom to found Quintet.

Miyazaki was also a member of Shade, a development studio founded by former Quintet employee Koji Yokota. There, he worked on The Granstream Saga and Brightis.

He founded Giga Factory in 2008, and he would re-edit ActRaiser for the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console.
